Drum roll, please, maestro... Incessant Drip is proud to announce our newest release, MAZEFFECT "Horseshoes & Hand Grenades"! This South Amboy, NJ band delivers the goods in a big way. There must be something in the water in that town (industrial waste, perhaps?) that brings about enormously stunning talent in its punk rock folk. "Horseshoes & Hand Grenades" is an amazing album that embodies just about everything we want this label to represent: music that is smart, rocking, timeless, & unique without any pretention or posturing.
IDR008 - Mazeffect "Horseshoes & Hand Grenades" combines the best aspects of bands like Uncle Tupelo, Husker Du, Ramones, Camper Van Beethoven, The Smithereens & The Replacements, then filters them through the wide-eye lens of pop punk energy and exhubrence to create a flat out great record. Recorded loud and full of fun by the new master of punk rock sound, Chris Pierce at Technical Ecstacy. You absolutely need this. $10ppd.
Of course, the cd is (or soon will be) also available through all of the usual sources: Interpunk, Little Type, PunkNJunk, No Breaks, Hyper Enough, Green Noise, yadda yadda and so on... MP3s are up at our MySpace page and at Interpunk. The album will be available digitally soon via Are You Listening? Records on ITunes, EMusic, Napster, Rhapsody & the like. But you do get a snazzy package with the physical product, including interior art by the muti-talented Jeff Erg, so we highy recommend the purchase of the real thing.

Well, the anxiously anticipated STEINWAYS/PEABODYS "Irreconcilable Differences" split 7" is finally out. 4 new songs each from both of these heavy hitters of the pop punk underground (yes, a treacherous place that "pop punk underground" is, punk rock's own Mos Eisley... Watch your step, pal). Buy it from us at our MySpace page for a mere $4ppd (in the continental United States, that is - International orders, as well as those from Alaska, Hawaii & Purto Rico, should contact us first for additional shipping costs). The record is available as well from Interpunk, Punk N Junk and (soon at) Little Type and Green Noise distros. It looks quite a bit like this:
IDR007 - STEINWAYS/PEABODYS "Irreconcilable Differences" split 7" - pressing of 500 copies, first 100 on mint green vinyl (sold out) Featuring: Steinways - The Worst Song Ever, Chemical Sugar, Ice Cream & That Sorta Hot Psuedo White Trash Girl Who Used To Work At The Pool Hall Peabodys - We Are Not Ashamed, You Don't Understand, Don't Blame Me & Haircut Of Doom
COMING SOON:
We're pretty much shamefully excited for some releases we have planned for the coming months, and if you'd heard them, you would be too. First off, is the amazing band MAZEFFECT from Erg-country in South Amboy, New Jersey, USA, and their outstanding new full-length album, "Horseshoes & Hand Grenades". This record comprises everything we've ever wanted this label to stand for: Smart, strange, catchy pop from some other place and time, bittersweet and blissful at the same time (and not nearly as pretentious as this wordy write up might have you think). Think early Smithereens meets "Candy Apple Gray" Husker Du meets "Don't Tell A Soul" Replacements meets Uncle Tupelo-ish dreamy alt-country, all filtered through the wide-eyed lens of punk rock youth exuberence. This is going to be making a lot of top ten lists, mark our words. This'll be out as soon as we get the artwork hashed out with the band. Watch for it!
Also, coming is the new album by New York City powerpop legends, The BENJAMIN CARTEL. Ben Rosenthal has done time in such rock and roll powerhouse bands as The Heartdrops and The Devil Dogs, but you'd almost never guess his raw roots from the sweet and melancholy melodies he writes. His brand of Beatles meets Smiths meets Lemonheads meets early Tom Petty meets Captain Beefheart rock defies its influences to deliver a memorable sound all its own. We are beyond proud to be working with he and his Cartel. We're also hashing out a deal to rerelease the band's seminal album, Saltwater. with some additional tracks and maybe (if you're lucky) remastered.
We're also looking into a few other great punk and pop releases and, if we can get the details hashed out, we'll be letting you know about those soon as well too.

You need this, seriously. It looks a lil' like this:

We're proud to introduce two new releases to the world! First is The Peabodys "Awkward Age" E.P. ($4ppd) - a 4 song E.P. that brings the band back (although with considerable more talent this time around) to its raw, fun, punk beginnings. This is a split release with fellow Portland label, Infringement Records.
Mailorder customers for this release will get stickers, a CDR version of the release, and (if you're lucky) a snazzy Peabodys poster to hang on your wall. While supplies of these items remain, of course (and those supplies are low on the CDRs, so get to ordering!). It looks like so:
Next is Eric Peabody "Odd Man In" SRCD (Note that the title is "ODD Man", not "Old man", as several people have mistakenly called it. Freudian slip? Don't tell Eric. He's surly enough as it is) ($6ppd) - a gazillion-track hodge podge of lo-fi (and one hi-fi!) demos and live stuff from Eric's bands The Peabodys and Yellow Planes, plus a bunch of home acoustic demos from various time periods of the band that Eric used to teach the band members the songs. A neat little assortment of stuff that might just give you a little insight into the songwriting process of a band with one principple songwriter. In any event, there's lots and lots of really fun songs - which is what really counts, right?
Here's a peek at the Odd Man cover and Eric's mug (Is that a look of suprise, befuddlement, bemused recognition? You be the judge):
In other news, Incessant Drip is teaming with the fabulous It's Alive Records of Orange, CA (along with a few other terrific up and coming punk rock labels) to bring you punk rock shopping convenience by distro-ing each other's releases. Check for a "Distro" page coming very soon to the site!
Don't forget to pick up The Popsters "All Of You" cd ($9ppd) if you haven't yet! Such an amazing album. And don't just take our word for it... Maximum Rock 'N' Roll, Razorcake, Nuthin' Zine, and others all loved it too! Check out the blog on our My Space page for all of the glowing reviews!
Remember too, that all of our stuff is available through Interpunk!

If you can't find everything here, look here too (Remember how we acquired half of our catalog from Worn Out Records in Chicago? So, yeah, we carry WO stuff too).
Plans on the near horizon: A quarterly catalog/zine thingy in cooroperation with Adam & Jenna from It's Alive which Eric will be contributing columns, interviews, reviews, whatever - An Incessant Drip mailorder catalog - Releases in the works from such amazing bands as The Ergs, Lemuria, AV Club, & Short Attention. Stay tuned. Things are getting exciting in this ol' punk rock underground of ours, and we're pleased as punch to be doing our part.

Slowly but surely I've been working on improving this site. You won't see any changes here because I'm totally revamping. Once I'm finished I'll just replace this with the new site. Until then visit us at myspace! The Popsters albums "All of You" is coming along nicely. You can expect it to be released in March and they're supporting it with a tour of the West Coast (of the US). We will be actively seeking bands for the second Transylvania style within the next month or so. If you're interested, let us know!
Incessant Drip Records is the is the new and improved moniker of Worn Out Records. We are currently planning three releases for the 2006 year. Our current releases can be purchased at Interpunk.com by searching by label for Worn Out Records.
We are currently taking submissions for the new Transylvania Style Punk Rock compilation. We are always willing to listen to demos, but we never make any promises. Contact us for a mailing address if you're interested.
We're slowly adding things all the time. Check back for more updates!
